The Hamura Intake Weir (Nagewatashi Weir) built in Hamura City is a diversion weir for the Tamagawa Aqueduct, which was constructed in the Edo Period to supply water from the Tama River to Edo (now Tokyo). It is a popular site where you can feel the history of the Tamagawa Aqueduct.
